“Entombed for five days in an newly-laid San Francisco watermain, 20 blocks long, and three feet in diameter, a tomcat was rescued when SPCA worker William Polk propelled himself on an auto creeper the entire distance to rescue the feline. Here’s Polk and the cat after the rescue.”
