This week I’ll be posting video number 2 of the “This Week On HEAR911” experiment. It’s mostly me rambling on about what will be posted this week on the blog space and YouTube channel.

There will be another Animal Rescue Postmortem Special on Tuesday. The topic will be emergency and disaster preparedness using the Maui wildfire as an example to learn from. Wednesday’s blog and video will be a product review covering turnout jackets used for animal rescue operations. Thursday will be Animal Rescue Postmortem Special Vol. 1 number 24 When Large Cats Stalk You. This one will feature actual footage of mountain lions stalking human prey and possible ways to avoid an attack.

There is some good topics this week. Please leave feedback either on the blog page or the comments section of the YouTube video. I’d really like to know what you think.

The website has a new section on emergency and disaster preparedness. Viewers will be able to access printable checklist and other links to government and nonprofit animal welfare organizations. These links offer information how to plan for most emergencies or disaster situations. The information is broken down by small animal, exotics, large animals and other important links listed by state. Someone whether experienced or just starting will find a wealth of information that will help then formulate a sound plan or test their existing one.
