Animal Rescue- A Photographic History Vol. 1 No. 11

UPI Telephoto January 6, 1963

Number 11. Horses can get into the most unlikely places. Wonder what this one was thinking when it hit the water.
UPI Telephoto dated January 6, 1963 “Dallas, Tex: A horse named Blue Boy, in the left photo, is at the bottom of a 30-foot cistern which he had fallen into at the Halber Riding Academy. In right photo Blue Boy emerges from the cistern opening after being pulled up by a winch. Despite the fall and rescue operation, the 1200 pound horse walked away with only minor cuts.”
