Back with another This Week On HEAR911 video (see below), a memory of a funny incident and a brief description of this weeks video/blogs.
I’ll call this one -The crab and the Kmart hostages
I remembered this incident as I watched a crab cross the street the other day and thought you might like to read about it. Several years ago when I was responding to incidents for HEAR I received a call for a crab blocking the exit door at a local Kmart. On arrival I could see a large group of people gathered at the exit doors but not trying to leave the store. The exit doors were opening and closing continuously as a Florida blue crab moved back and forth in front of them. As the doors would open or close the crab would keep moving in a straight line to it’s left or right. It was funny to see how it had everyone stopped at the exit as if the crab was going to attack or something. I was surprised no one snatched it up and made a meal out of it. I threw my hat over it then caught it in a net and took it to a canal next to the store. I still get a laugh when I think about it. I wish I had video as it would be sure to make you laugh.
Tuesday Volume 2 of Animal Rescue Postmortem starts off with a shocking video of someone putting farm animals in danger when a horse is showing signs of aggression that appears to be instigated by the owner. This is someone I believe shouldn’t have any animals.
Thursday Animal Rescue- A Photographic History #9 is from a 1971 rescue of a horse through the ice on a lake.
