Animal Rescue- A Photographic History Vol. 1 No. 2

October 15, 1947 Miami Herald Staff Photo Bob Verlin

Image number two is the one that started the ball rolling on the collection. I’m so glad I found this photo.

This one was taken by Miami Herald staff photographer Bob Verlin, October 15, 1947. “Rabbits faced drowning before they were rescued Tuesday afternoon by a Red Cross searching party at Seventh Ave. and W. 34th St. Hialeah. The party was touring the area in a large truck, aboard which the rabbits, owned by J.M. holt were placed.”
